Steel Structure Rehabilitation: Mechanical Fabrication and Sand blasting/Coating with C5m

The tank roof had suffered extensive perforations due to atmospheric corrosion. Patch repairs were carried out to reinforce the roof and ensure safe access.

Fuel Storage Tank

Sea Water Culvert

The metallic culvert exhibited severe corrosion due to continuous exposure to sea water. A high-build polyglass coating system was applied to extend the service life.

Desalination Sea Water

The system experienced significant corrosion as a result of continuous contact with sea water. To combat this, a high-build coating with 100% solids content was applied, ensuring a durable, solvent-free barrier that enhances resistance against aggressive marine conditions.

500 KV Insulators

Environmental factors had caused significant damage to the high-voltage insulators. A specialized RTV coating was subsequently applied, imparting a super-hydrophobic property to the surface. This effectively repels moisture, prevents dust from settling, and eliminates surface tracking, thereby reducing the likelihood of sparking and enhancing overall operational safety.

Cable Tray Fire Proofing

To mitigate fire risks in high-risk areas, an intumescent fireproofing coating was applied to all cable trays, providing thermal insulation and preventing rapid temperature rise during fire exposure.

Residual Fuel Oil Tank

Doubler plate patch repairs were carried out on the annular plate, followed by the application of a high-build, 100% solids volume coating to extend tank's service life.

Residual Fuel Oil Tank Cleaning

Comprehensive cleaning and degassing procedures were executed to ensure the tank was completely free of flammable gases. This created a safe environment for subsequent hot work activities, including welding and patching repairs.

Vertical and Horizontal Hangers

A C5M-grade coating was applied to both vertical and horizontal hangers, with an additional internal spring rubberized coating, to provide superior corrosion resistance and extend service life.

Motors Coolers and Tube Refurbishment

Tubes/coolers were refurbished with complete tube replacement, followed by a high-build epoxy on both front ends to extend service life to ensure smooth operation.

Tower Blasting Coating and Refurbishment

Sandblasting and C5M coating were applied to corroded tower structures, with complete replacement of nuts, bolts, and deteriorated metallic elements for enhanced durability.

Transformer, Coolers & Radiators

Power tool cleaning, manual preparation, and sandblasting were performed, followed by CX-system coating on transformers, coolers, and radiators for durable protection.

Cable ladders and tray replacement with GRP

Corroded metal cable ladders and trays were replaced with corrosion-resistant GRP, ensuring durability, reduced maintenance, and enhanced safety.

Metallic Lighting Poles

Corroded metal Light Poles were replaced with corrosion-resistant GRP, ensuring durability, reduced maintenance, and enhanced safety.

Metallic Sheets and Louvers Replacement with GRP Lifetime Material

Failed metal sheets and louvers were replaced with corrosion-free GRP lifetime materials for sustainable, maintenance-free performance.
